Inclusive Green Energy Africa is pleased to announce that its technical team is currently on the ground in Mchinji District, installing a solar-powered water pump for irrigation at Mr. Sito’s farm in Kalulu Village. This timely intervention comes as winter approaches, a period when access to reliable irrigation becomes critical for sustained agricultural production.
The installation of the solar water pump will enable Mr. Sito to irrigate his fields efficiently, reducing dependence on rainfall and costly fossil fuels. The system supports climate-smart agriculture, lowers operating costs for farmers, and promotes environmental sustainability. With irrigation in place, farmers can cultivate up to three farming cycles per year, significantly boosting yields and strengthening household and community food security. Such innovations are key to reducing hunger and improving livelihoods in rural communities.
Inclusive Green Energy Africa remains committed to empowering smallholder farmers with affordable, reliable, and sustainable irrigation solutions. Through solar-powered technologies, the organization continues to support Malawi’s agricultural resilience and long-term development goals. Farmers, partners, and community members are invited to join the movement toward sustainable agriculture and experience the impact of clean energy solutions that are transforming lives on the ground.
Together, we can cultivate more, nourish more, and build a food-secure future.
